Selection Process:
— We are looking for between 2–5 pieces of music, totaling around 15–25 minutes, to combine with additional pieces that have already been selected. The concert already includes two winning compositions from our Student Composer Competition, and a few works that we were unable to include at our recent Summer Festival of New Music.
— Final decisions regarding the selection of pieces for the concert will be decided by the performers, Perry Mears (piano) and Rob Miller (clarinet).
— Pieces will be selected based on length and difficulty. Only one piece per composer will be selected.
Feedback: A composer who is not selected will be provided with minimal feedback via email, such as the work is too long or too difficult to learn in time for the performance.
Attendance: Selected composers are highly encouraged, but are not required, to attend the performance.
